Galaxy S26 Ultra RAM capacity revealed

Ana sayfa / News

New technical details have emerged about Samsung’s new flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which it plans to unveil in early 2026. Ice Universe, a well-known leaker, has shared the RAM technology that will be used in the S26 Ultra. The device will feature 10.7 Gbps LPDDR5X RAM. This RAM standard is the same speed as that used in last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra.

There are no signs of any increase in RAM capacity so far. The S26 Ultra is also expected to come with 12 GB of RAM. Samsung has kept the RAM capacity constant since the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Having not increased RAM capacity since 2020, the company appears poised to continue this approach with the S26 Ultra.

While 12 GB of RAM still provides sufficient performance for daily use, this level has become the entry-level for flagship models in the Android ecosystem. Manufacturers like Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Google offer versions with 16GB or even 24GB of RAM in their high-end phones. In this context, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may technically lag behind its competitors in hardware comparisons.

Meanwhile, a similar pattern is evident at Apple. Its top-of-the-line iPhone 16 Pro Max also features 12GB of RAM. This may indicate that Samsung’s focus is on system efficiency and software and hardware optimization rather than performance. However, considering consumer expectations, the lack of an increase in RAM capacity is considered a negative aspect for some users.
